Obstacle: To Be A Pirate King...
Luffy strives to be the Pirate King, being the Pirate King has always been Luffy's lifelong dream.

Luffy as made many, many friends on his journey but also many enemies. Luffy is getting closer and closer to becoming the pirate King. Luffy has attacked World Government facilities, punched a man of Nobility and escaped from one of the most dangerous prisons in the world... ALIVE.

Okay, so Luffy has made a point that he will fight as many enemies and that he WILL become the future pirate king... even if he dies because he knows that he tried if he did die. But there are many other Pirates who Strive to become the Pirate King ( for Example Captain Kidd of the Kid Pirates and Trafalgar Law of the Heart Pirates )
And In order to become the Pirate King, Luffy has to defeat all the Yonko ( They are like The kings of The sea ). The Yonko are indeed very strong, and Luffy cannot defeat the Yonko Alone, with the help of his Nakama and his own strength, Luffy will definitely will, as long as he doesn't lose the will to do so.
Training. If Luffy trains more then he could probably be strong enough to defeat one of The Yonko. But... Luffy is already very powerful, and the Strawhat crew have been training for the last 2 years.
Luffy's enthusiasm to do things and strong will is a huge help, Luffy's strong will means that even if he is in a difficult situation, he won't give up and that he will continue fighting. Luffy fights for what he believes in and he helps those who need help .
